María Claudia Armenta

Attorney graduated from the Universidad San Buenaventura, bilingual (English-Spanish) with a Masters in Business Law from the Universidad de Alcalá in Madrid, Spain, and a graduate degree in Commercial Law from the Universidad Externado de Colombia.

She has over 15 years of experience in corporate and business law, in the retail industry and in structuring businesses and in real estate, gained in top ranked law firms in Colombia and Spain, in the Cali Chamber of Commerce, as well as in a company dedicated to the development of infrastructure projects. She has advised several national and foreign companies in the sale and purchase of assets from constructing companies, in the negotiation of commercial cooperation agreements, joint ventures, investment agreements and in the acquisition of real property through corporate or company vehicles, among others.

Maria Claudia has extensive domestic and international experience in foreign exchange and mergers and acquisitions law, and with not-for-profit entities. She has considerable strengths in structuring and negotiating complex contracts with specialization in the retail and infrastructure sectors.
