María Fernanda Arango

Attorney graduated from the Universidad del Rosario, bilingual (English-Spanish), with a Masters in Business Law from the Universidad de San Andres in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and a graduate degree in Commercial Law from the Universidad de Los Andes.

She has over 20 years of experience working in the Colombian fiduciary sector and in a top ranked law firm in Colombia. As part of her experience she has she provided advice to national and international clients on designing trust structures for a variety of purposes, in real estate matters and in negotiations for acquisitions or sale of real estate. María has structured business trusts for real estate projects, such as hotel operations, and for collateral and payment guarantees and waterfalls for the benefit of companies in Colombia and abroad. She also participated in high net worth estate planning, management and administration for individuals and family businesses.

Maria Fernanda has extensive experience with trust law, structured and project finance, the creation and administration of collective investment funds and with private equity funds, and in corporate acquisitions, negotiating and drafting investment agreements.
